A space I have put off for too long.

Often people are surprised when they discover I haven’t created a blog, because surely a young man desirous to write books ought to have one. Many things have prevented me previously from doing so, and as I reflect on them I can see that they are all centred around a shyness to share. For with Art, to show your art is to expose something about youself. As a generally private person, something akin to embarrassment withholds me, for too many times when I have evoked my intentions, my desires, I have felt the snub of surprise or the glazed countenance of pathos.

Alas, I have felt the urge to publish something somewhere. I have wanted a place, an arena, for my objects of creation to be observed, not just hidden away for my own eyes to look upon. I have often thought that to expose my words would induce in a me a greater rigour to my words and also my ideas, and bolster my fervour to further my writing.

I shall begin from a point I do not know where. I have objects: poems, descriptions, thoughts, etc… I shall perhaps just try to remain active, describe a place I have passed through, reflect over a poem I have written or on a person I have met, or write to discover truths within other peoples’ works, and comment on objects that intrigue me, and whatever is curious.

I cannot see ahead exactly what I shall create here, but this blog amongst many other things is an extension of what I have done and apart of where I wish to go. Here I go onwards.
